Situated near Indo-Bangladesh border, Bongaon is one of the deprived parts of West Bengal where the basic level of hygiene and resources don’t reach people from every section of the society. We have been informed regarding the problems of the people of the border area Petrapol- Benapol area and have organized a health camp for the distressed without any charges. JPS International is a registered NGO working in India and outside. But we are prioritizing work mainly in parts of Bengal and Orissa. As a ngo in Bongaon, we identified Bongaon as one of the areas that need our help and resources, we immediately organized the health camp with leading general physicians and ophthalmologists to provide basic healthcare to the locals.

Since the time, we have started providing our services to the needy people of Bongaon, we have been looking to provide them medicines and spectacles and other healthcare resources which is rarely available at the area. We provide all the medicines prescribed by the doctors in the health camps to the patients free of cost. We also provide spectacles to people who need it. We are working to make people get their basic amenities to live a healthy life ahead.
As a ngo in Bongaon, besides health camps, we have been planning to organize some awareness campaigns too to ensure that people are gaining the understanding they require to appear to the doctors. Also, they must learn about hygiene and how to clear the water bodies monthly to ensure mosquitos are controlled and so diseases like Malaria, Dengue and all.
Moreover, as JPS International works as a licensed NGO, we prefer to report and work on the incidents of Human Rights violations. We not only report to the commission but also make sure to make people aware of their rights and how to stand strong against those incidents.
We are eager to provide basic education to all the children but we need to develop the infrastructure to get complete results of our efforts in this sector.

We have already completed eye surgeries for more than 21 persons in the past few years. If the doctor suggests the cataract to be operated, we work on it to make the surgery happen as soon as possible.
